Keywords:
Poverty, Inequality, Zakat, Sharia financing, Path analysisAbstract
One of the problems facing Indonesia is poverty and inequality. Where increasing poverty will be in line with increasing income inequality. The development of the sharia financial sector, such as zakat and sharia financing, is expected to have an impact on poverty alleviation and reducing inequality. This research will focus on analyzing the direct and indirect relationship between the variables zakat, sharia financing, poverty and inequality. The method used is path analysis which aims to examine the hypothesis of a causal relationship. Based on the results of food data in this study, it can be concluded that in a direct relationship, the sharia financing and poverty variables influence inequality and the zakat variable influences inequality. There are several relationships that cannot be known, namely the effect of zakat on poverty and the effect of financing on inequality because these two paths are not significant and both have been cut. The unknown relationship between zakat and poverty means that the influence of zakat on inequality through poverty cannot be known. However, there is an indirect relationship between sharia financing variables and inequality through poverty.
